Fixed CFL Downlight Fitting Round (Small)
One of our most popular light fittings, this stylish Recessed Downlight Fitting comes in either a Satin Chrome or a White Finish. The small frame has a standard Edison Screw (ES) socket, suitable for use with up to a 15 Watt Spiral Compact Fluorescent Lamp.Lamp not included.
When using a warm white 15 Watt Spiral Compact Fluorescent Lamp this fitting will produce more light than a 50 watt standard halogen, with similar colour temperature and a much wider and more even spread of light compared to the halogens very directed spotlight beam, making it ideal for all living areas, including lounge, living and bedrooms. With a cool white CFL lamp, it provides a clear white light ideal for kitchens and laundry areas.
This fitting will directly replace many gimbal or tilt style halogen fittings without having to resize the ceiling cutout. An electrician is required to remove the halogen transformer and wire in the new fitting, although it is a very simple job and shouldn't take them long.
