The Worm Affair Booster Box contains 500 live worms. Worm farms can be used to recycle your household vegetable scraps, for recycling pet manuers, and to produce PH neutral fertilizer for your garden.

Tips For Use Of Worms:

• Worms in worm farms must be kept in a cool, shady position at all times.
• Cover worms and food scraps with at least six pages of damp newspaper and keep contents moist, but not wet. Remember worms do not like onions, citrus scraps or meat products.
• Worms work best in a controlled environment such as a worm farm. They can be added to your garden if there is moist, shady, mulchy area.
• When starting a small worm farm we recommend a minimum of 1000 worms to start and then later approximately 1000 worms per person.
• There are approximately 4000 worms to a kilo and worms can eat up to at least half of their own weight per day of decaying matter.
• If the food decays faster than the worms can process it, it could then become smelly and if this happens your worm farm may attract unwanted pests. Reduce the volume of scraps or add a Booster Box or two of new worms.
• Simply, the more you want the worm farm to do for you, the more worms you will need. You are now an enthusiastic environmentalist.
