Rate of Return of a Solar System in Melbourne
Calculating a rough rate of return on your solar investment is a useful way of determining the size of the system you require as well as realistically estimating how viable a solar investment is for your personal situation.
The best way to look at the rate of return is to separate the system into two operating tariffs. Where: a) Some panels are generating electricity and immediately off setting your peak time of use power and b) And other panels are generating excess electricity, which is being fed into the grid.
The maths is separated according to the two approximate tariff rates and the percentage of day time versus night time usage (plus also solar generation from the good summer months versus the winter months).... read more
